Post Project Appraisals Pay
(i) Describe what a project premortem is and what it hopes to accomplish. How does it differ from standard risk analysis? Have you ever been on a project where doing a premortem would have been beneficial to the success of the project? Describe the situation. (ii) Descibe the post project analysis BP uses and how it has improved the success rate of its projects.
- Homework 3: (Due Oct 7th) (a) Read the The Experience Trap and summarize in 2-3 pages why experienced managers stop learning from their experience and what can be done about it.
(b) Finish the tutorial on Microsoft Project; Appendix A pages A.66 - A.85 (Earned Value, HR, Communications)
- Homework 2: (Due Sept 23rd) (a) Read the Remote Deposit Capture Project and work on Tasks 1, 2 and 4 in Part 1: Project Integration Management
(b) Continue learning Microsoft Project in Appendix A pages A.49 - A.65 (Project Cost Management, Baseline Plan, Actual Costs and Actual Times)
