Scots have organized themselves into a number of organizations. Some of these, like the Caledonian Club of New York have both social and educational functions. Others, like the St. Andrew's Societies, found around the world, are charitable in their interests. The Saltire Society, based in Scotland is largely interested in propagating Scottish Culture.
