Prior to joining the Brooklyn Physics faculty,
Kai was a senior research and development member
at TriQuint Semiconductor from 2003 to 2005.
He held a position of Distinguished Member
of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories/Lucent Technologies
and later at Agere Systems from 2000 to 2003.
Dr. Shum served as a tenured full professor
in the Electrical Engineering Department
at the City College of New York (CCNY/CUNY)
from 1998 to 2001.
