I subsequently managed to track down Tommy Kearins who played "Dougie the wee boy" living with his wife Ena in Govan, Glasgow." "I was even more delighted when Tommy offered to meet me at the 200th year anniversary celebrations of the opening of the Crinan Canal in 2001 where several scenes from the film were shot.
