Environmental and Analytical Geochemistry

My broad interests are based on trace and ultra-trace metals (abundances, speciation, isotopes) and encompass both analytical techniques and applications.  At present my group works in the following four sub-areas: biogeochemistry of toxic metals in aqueous environment; phosphorus and nitrogen "eutrophication" in urban ecosystems; urban soil contamination and implications on health risks for urban population; remediation strategies and technologies, policy implications.

You are welcomed to visit the Environmental Sciences Analytical Center at Brooklyn College (5th floor Ingersoll Hall) to discover our exciting research, teaching and outreach activities.  Information regarding my research at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory can be found at the Superfund Basic Research Program website.
