Kathleen Majewska

Kathleen Majewska - mother of two, is an adjunct Prof. of ballet and modern dance at UALR and executive director of Old Town Theatre Centre in Pine Bluff. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Ms Majewska studied ballet under Miguel Terekhov and Yvonne Chouteau. Following graduation she studied in N.Y.C. at the American Ballet Theater under Wadim Sulima, Nicholas Orloff and with Ratimir Antic and Vladimir Dokoudovsky. She studied modern at the Martha Graham school and with Betty Jones of the Jose Limon Company and with Mary Anthony and Paul Sanasardo. Her vocal studies were with Kurt Baum formerly with the Metropolitan Opera and with Carolina Segrera formerly of La Scala. She is additionally an accomplished musician and has played harp and saxaphone.

Ms. Majewska's danced professionally with Wadim Sulima Ballet-charactor Company, All Nations COmpany, and with Matteo's company. She founded her own company the Cameron Highland Dancers which performed at the United Nations. She works with the Pine Bluff Symphony and has choreographed such works as "Peter and the Wolf' and El Amor Brujo.

Working with John Beatty and Foster Hirsch in conection with the Pine Bluff Film Festival, has been the greatest priviledge of all!
