Who was the first human being to ever walk on the moon, and why does this event have such a Scottish flavor?
On July 20, 1969 Neil Armstrong became the first human to ever walk on the moon. He was followed by Edwin Aldrin. Both men were congratulated on telephone by Richard Nixon, while being watched by a worldwide audience on T.V. Armstrong, Aldrin and Nixon are all of Scottish ancestry. The telephone and television are both Scottish inventions!
