Who would have thought it? The store is small and cozy and is located at 9018 4 Ave. in Brooklyn, easily reached by the R train which stops nearby at 95 Street (last stop)The store is not far from John Paul Jones Park, located at 4th Ave and 101st Street Several buses stop nearby as well.

Staffed by some charming lasses, Patty and Liam, the store is inviting and crammed to the gills with all kinds of Celtic things. Of course, some New Yorkers may already be aware of the store – Liam having appeared last year on Fox television.

Kilts are found all around the store with every inch of space utilized, but they are not the only things of interest to fans of things Scottish and Irish. No indeed. There is some beautiful jewelry and a variety of CDs and the store is well stocked with many items that are Scottish and Irish themed.

In addition to everything else there is a good supply of foodstuffs on hand. Good short breads, those great Scottish meat pastries called bridies and meat pies can all be purchased there. With St. Patrick’s Day arriving shortly and the Scottish celebrations of Tartan Day/Week rapidly nearing as well, some of you may want to look appropriately dressed for the occasions. This is the only kilt rental in New York City, so here is the place to go. Their prices are reasonable and the atmosphere friendly. If you don’t believe us – just stop by.
