About The Play Itself

Punch and Judy is probably the worlds most famous puppet show. The story is full of rapid dialog and rather violent action, which has caused it to be performed less often.

The play has many variations, but Punch and his wife, Judy are the leads. Their baby appears as do a policeman, a judge, a hangman, and a devil.

The play is sifficently popular that it is often depicted in other forms. Here a small bank os modeled on the Punch and Judy show, showm here on stage.
